In 1997, CarpetWorks Colortile opened at 5550-f Nicholson Lane in Rockville, Maryland with a straightforward idea: sell quality carpet and install it right the first time. No subcontractors, no runaround — just a team that measures, quotes, installs, and stands behind the work.
That principle attracted a loyal customer base across Montgomery County. Homeowners told their neighbors. Builders started calling. Within a few years the showroom had expanded from carpet into hardwood, laminate, and ceramic tile — and the original installers were still the ones doing the work.
As the product line grew, so did the company’s ambition. The business rebranded as iDesign Interior Solutions to reflect a wider scope that now included countertops, backsplashes, and full interior renovations. But flooring remained the core — the thing customers knew us for and kept coming back for.
