Expert Tips From Our Installers
When renovating, take the opportunity to inspect and repair your subfloor. Squeaky floors, uneven spots, and minor water damage are much easier (and cheaper) to fix before new flooring goes down than after.
If you're renovating multiple rooms, do them in order of mess: tile first (most dust and debris), then hardwood, then LVP/laminate, and carpet last. This keeps the cleanest installations pristine.

Renovation Flooring FAQs
Do I need to remove existing flooring before installing new?
Usually yes, but it depends. LVP and laminate can sometimes be installed over existing hard flooring if it's flat and in good condition. New tile should go over properly prepared subfloor, not over old tile in most cases. We assess your specific situation during our free estimate.
How do you match new flooring to existing flooring in adjacent rooms?
We bring samples to your home and compare in your lighting. For hardwood, we can custom-stain to match. For tile and LVP, we select complementary styles. Clean transitions between different flooring types are key — we use T-strips, reducers, or flush transitions.
How much disruption should I expect during a flooring renovation?
A single room takes 1–3 days depending on the flooring type. Whole-home renovations take 1–2 weeks. We work room by room so you can often stay in your home. Furniture moving, old flooring removal, and cleanup are included in our service.
Do you handle old flooring disposal?
Yes, removal and disposal of existing flooring is included in all our renovation projects. We properly dispose of all materials including carpet, pad, tile, and hardwood. If asbestos-containing materials are suspected (pre-1980 homes), we coordinate proper testing and abatement.
