How long does carpet installation take?
Most rooms can be carpeted in 1–2 hours. A full home (3–4 bedrooms plus stairs and hallways) typically takes a single day. We remove and dispose of your old carpet as part of the service.
What type of carpet pad should I use?
We recommend 7/16" thick, 6-pound density pad for most residential applications. For stairs, a thinner, denser pad provides better support. Premium memory foam pads add luxury underfoot but cost more. We always match pad to carpet type.
How do I choose between carpet fibers?
Nylon is the most durable and stain-resistant — best for families with kids and pets. Polyester is softer and more affordable but less resilient. Wool is premium and natural but requires more maintenance. SmartStrand (Triexta) offers a great balance of softness and durability.
Is carpet a good choice for allergy sufferers?
Modern carpet actually traps allergens and keeps them out of breathing zones, which can improve air quality compared to hard surfaces that allow particles to become airborne. Choose low-VOC carpet and have it professionally cleaned every 12–18 months.
